I hate that society perceives watching and living as two sequestered things.

It’s bullshit actually. I don’t know how that mentality was established but it’s wrong. It’s wrong to think that people who are not constantly IN are out. It’s bullshit to think that seeing is not living and that understanding is not living and that by extension those things aren’t DOING.

I am content to observe. I am content to watch a story unfold. I am content to watch a puzzle augment. I am content to grip pages and scrutinize pieces and understand and know how things function and abound.

And yes, there are times when I want to step in the game. And I do. But for the most part I am satisfied on the outskirts.

To me living is about feeling and knowing and understanding. And I often find those things as an observer. And so to me, it’s worth it.

How I live may not appeal to everyone or be good for everyone but to tell me it’s not living period isn’t fair.

Wallflowers live dammit.
